OrangeX Copy Trading: Review Exposure Before Stopping a Copy
Stopping a copied portfolio is a decision about an existing allocation, open exposure and settlement. Before using the control, establish what will happen to each of those items. A confirmation message is useful evidence of a request, but the final account records are needed to establish its outcome.
This guide was checked against OrangeX's public help material on 30 October 2026. It is a pre-action review and reconciliation guide. It does not promise that an undocumented option, such as retaining positions after stopping, is available.
Identify the copied portfolio and allocation
Open the relevant copied-portfolio details from the current Copy Trading interface. OrangeX's portfolio guide describes the Copied Portfolios area. Confirm the portfolio identity rather than relying on a similar display name.
Record the amount allocated, available balance, open positions and pending orders shown for that portfolio. Keep timestamps and timezone. Distinguish a copied allocation from other spot or derivatives balances so that a later transfer is not mistaken for investment profit.
Read what the stop action will do
Before confirming, check the actual interface and current service terms for position closure, pending-order cancellation, settlement timing and destination of returned funds. Do not assume that stopping future copying and closing existing exposure are the same operation.
The public sources linked here establish portfolio and profit-sharing concepts, but do not establish every current stop-control option or a universal settlement deadline. If the confirmation screen leaves a material point unclear, use official support to resolve it before taking the action. Do not infer a guaranteed closure price from a displayed position valuation.
Include profit sharing in the estimate
The Copy Trader FAQ says the applicable profit share depends on the portfolio's ratio and is settled when copying stops. The portfolio guide also describes settlement when a copy trader manually exits. Check the current portfolio terms for the actual calculation base and any previously settled amounts.
The following illustration is arithmetic only, not an OrangeX fee quotation or a statement of its precise accounting formula. Suppose an allocation began at 1,000 USDT, had no later deposits or withdrawals, and the final eligible profit before profit sharing were 80 USDT. If the applicable ratio were 10%, the hypothetical share would be 8 USDT and the retained profit 72 USDT.
Actual records may include trading fees, funding, open-position changes and other settlement entries. Confirm what the displayed profit already includes. Subtracting a charge already reflected in equity would count it twice.
Prepare a before-and-after record
| Before the action | After processing |
|---|---|
| Portfolio identity and allocated amount | Correct portfolio's updated status |
| Open positions and pending orders | Actual remaining exposure and orders |
| Equity and stated profit-sharing terms | Settlement entries and any applicable charges |
| Expected destination of available funds | Balance movements and amounts actually credited |
Equally, a changed portfolio status does not alone prove that every open position was closed. Reconcile both exposure and balances.
Investigate an unexpected result
Preserve portfolio identifiers, order records, transaction entries and the time of the action. Describe the difference between the expected and observed state precisely. For example, distinguish a pending balance credit from a position that still appears open.

Common questions
Does stopping guarantee a displayed profit? No. Final execution, costs and settlement can change the amount retained.
Can positions always be kept open? Do not assume that. Check the options actually offered and the current terms; the cited public material does not establish a universal keep-positions option.
Is a balance transfer a return? No. Evaluate performance using starting and ending equity, external deposits and withdrawals, and the applicable settled charges.
Use the current OrangeX Copy Trading interface for the available controls and account-specific information. This guide does not perform or recommend a financial transaction.
