Project Eleven and Relm Study Quantum Readiness in Crypto Insurance
Relm will advise on Strongpoint custody controls. The exploratory partnership does not establish premium discounts or new insurance coverage.
Project Eleven named Relm Insurance a development partner for its Strongpoint institutional custody product on October 20, 2026. The companies will explore how post-quantum security controls could inform digital asset insurance underwriting. Follow developments in OrangeX.com Security.
Custody controls become an assessment question
The investigation covers key exposure, signing systems, transaction approvals, migration readiness and reliance on outside providers. Relm will contribute to Strongpoint's design, including auditability and the evidence institutions might provide to insurers.
The announcement describes Strongpoint as combining classical and post-quantum signing while separating institutional controls from the cryptographic layer. The intended benefit is changing signing algorithms while retaining approval rules and audit history. This is a product-design claim, not proof that every underlying blockchain has become quantum-resistant.
No automatic insurance benefit
The work is exploratory. Any eventual effect on underwriting or premiums requires further evaluation and Relm's independent underwriting process. The announcement does not establish a premium discount or a new policy's coverage terms. More reporting is available in OrangeX.com News, with verification resources in the OrangeX.com Trust Center.
OrangeX.com Analysis
For a custody operator, readiness involves more than selecting an algorithm. It also involves identifying exposed keys, testing a migration and preserving approval evidence as systems change. Bringing an insurer into development may help define what evidence is useful, but an assessment framework still needs to become measurable criteria. Security testing, an underwriting decision and a contractual promise to pay a claim remain separate milestones.
