Hashi Mainnet Plans Phased October Launch With $500M Committed
Hashi will begin a phased mainnet rollout in October with more than $500 million committed and new institutional access routes.
Hashi plans a phased mainnet rollout later in October with more than $500 million in committed capital. Anchorage Digital is joining the launch coalition with qualified-custody and self-custody access routes.
Sui announced on October 8, 2026 that Hashi, its native Bitcoin finance infrastructure, will begin a phased mainnet rollout later this month. The project said more than $500 million has been committed by a coalition of over 20 launch participants, while Anchorage Digital is joining as a day-one partner.
The announcement matters because Hashi is designed to let native Bitcoin support lending, borrowing, credit, vaults and structured products on Sui. The capital figure represents commitments from launch participants; it should not be read as the amount already deployed in live applications.
How Hashi is designed to work
Users deposit native BTC through Hashi and receive hBTC on Sui. The hBTC can interact with third-party applications, while the deposited Bitcoin remains secured through the system’s underlying custody and settlement structure. When a user withdraws, the corresponding hBTC is burned and native BTC is released.
The underlying framework was developed by Mysten Labs, while financial products are independently built and offered by third parties. Access is expected to open progressively as launch partners complete integrations. Readers can follow related network developments in the OrangeX.com news hub.
What institutional access adds
Anchorage Digital said its participation will provide two routes. One uses Atlas for tri-party settlement and collateral arrangements under qualified-custody requirements. The other uses its Porto self-custody wallet for institutions that want direct onchain access. The announcement also points to additional stablecoin liquidity.

OrangeX.com Analysis
The main signal is that Hashi is moving from testing toward a live market with named infrastructure providers and committed capital. A phased launch reduces the chance that every integration must be ready at once, but it also means access, liquidity and product availability may vary during the rollout.
The $500 million figure is meaningful as an indicator of launch support, yet committed capital is not the same as deposits, borrowing demand or sustained liquidity. The factors to verify after launch are actual BTC deposited, hBTC redemption performance, third-party risk controls, market depth and the pace at which partner integrations become available.
