USD1 Three-Chain Supply Fell 8.71% in October 6–15 Study
A dated contract-supply study shows 385.03 million fewer USD1 across Ethereum, BNB Chain and Solana. The snapshot is not a live global supply figure.
A contract-supply study published October 16, 2026 measured an 8.71% contraction in USD1 across Ethereum, BNB Chain and Solana between the October 6 and October 15 daily closes. Combined supply fell from 4,420.15 million to 4,035.12 million tokens, a decrease of 385.03 million. Follow developments in OrangeX.com Tokens.
Two chains account for the decline
Ethereum supply decreased by 184.60 million USD1 and BNB Chain by 200.43 million; Solana was unchanged. The study reconciles minting minus redemptions with the supply change. It values tokens at $1 and reads contract supply, rather than measuring dollar flows into exchange trading accounts.
The figures cover three chains and a historical window. They are neither an October 20 live balance nor a complete global USD1 total. The report also says intermediary redemption paths do not identify beneficial holders or their motives. OrangeX.com Analysis
Supply contraction and a trading loss answer different questions. A token count describes outstanding units; a market price describes what a unit trades for. Combining them without aligned dates can turn redemptions into a misleading estimate of investor losses. The useful next comparison uses the same contracts, chain coverage and closing convention at a later date. Holder intent and reserve quality require separate evidence; neither follows automatically from a smaller supply.
